Staff attend Wildlife Trust Consultancy conference in London

16 Mar 2026

Each year, professionals from across the UK’s Wildlife Trust Consultancies (WTC) network come together for a key event in the ecological calendar—the annual consultancies conference. Bringing together experts in ecology, land management, and environmental planning, the conference serves as a platform to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and shape the future of nature recovery.

This year’s conference took place in London, welcoming representatives from 27 consultancies across the network. Three of our staff attended sharing insights from projects spanning a wide range of habitats and sectors.

This year some of the speakers were WTC clients. Hearing directly from those who commission consultancy work provided valuable perspective on expectations, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration.

Other discussions during the conference included challenges facing the sector. This included the growing role of new technologies in ecological work, as well as practical considerations such as improving efficiency.

Workshops included sessions on tendering. collaborative working and an idea-sharing forum encouraging open discussion.

In essence, the Wildlife Trust Consultancies annual conference continues to be more than just a professional gathering—it is a space for collaboration, innovation, and shared commitment to a wilder future.
